| Message | Dear Shane: I am writing to you today to encourage you to seek out the expertise of the University of Colorado's Cancer Research Center who have the most modern, up-to-date equipment and treatments available. In November (2004)my brother was diagnosed with a return of his lung cancer in the form of a tumor too close to his heart to operate. He was placed on last chance cancer drugs. In February of this year, his doctors said that his cancer was spreading and he had 6 months to live. He was sent to the University of Colorado Cancer Center in Denver for any possible new treatments, etc. Using a very new and highly advanced MRI and scanning machine, the doctors at the University of Colorado found that the tumor too close to his heart to operate was not a tumor at all but a gland that is usually found nearer to the throat. We have just learned that his cancer has not spread but he will need to be re-tested every three months. I strongly urge you to seek out any treatments or tests available through the University of Colorado's Cancer Research Center in Denver. God Bless You Shane, you are in our prayers. When you feel frustrated with your battle, just think how God blessed you with great opportunities most people never get. Lot's of people look up to you and would love to have achieved what you have in your lifetime. You are a great bull rider and inspiration to many. |
