| Message | Diesel continued..... There are plenty of hopped up diesels around that you could try to convince to come run against you. I have been doing just that all year with the A street class. talking to anyone, anywhere about the track and trying to get them to come out and run. I even try to get the spectators who show up in street trucks to register the following race. Craig- If you need help getting the tech shed up so little things like this won't keep popping up, let me know. I am more than willing to help out any way I can. I also didn't know there was not a diesel class any longer. I still have not recieved a copy of the rules or classes yet. I only knew that alot of classes had been combined from attending the driver's meetings. I would have said something before now had I known that the diesel class had been tied into the a street class. Sorry if I am being a pain in your rearend over this. I just don't believe it is fair. I am going to try and make this my last post on the issue. Good seeing everyone out there last night, hope to see you all out there in two weeks!!! Even you Diesel....just not in my class!!! Till then.... |

| Message | Mr. Monster- Yes....I would still not want them in the same class that I run. It is a matter of not being able to get a gas truck to compete with a diesel for the same amount of money invested. It is a matter of principal. Call Banks performance. It is because of that principal that Gale Banks now focuses his attention on diesels instead of gasoline engines. Diesel- Who I presume to be one of the boys I spoke with at the tower. As far as me complaining all season.... you have the wrong person. I back everyone and support every racer at our track, even the ones who are possibly bending the rules. I never complained about running a truck last season that I showed up to the track knowing was going to beat me. If you look at my times, from last season to present, they have consistently gotten better. That is what racing is about. I was working towards beating that truck that I lost to repeatedly last season. I cannot set the same goal for a truck that can make double the horsepower and who knows how much more torque than me and remain within the class rules. Can't do it. It isn't fair to ANY v8 gas truck to have to race against a diesel in our class. Not even Matt, who drives the F-150 that won our class last night. I am not mad that you beat me, I am upset with the fact that I didn't have to "step up" into a diesel or supercharged/turbo class and get beat. I am sorry if no one can understand this. Maybe I am just showing my ass. We'll see if you stay in our class though. |

| Message | I'm not sure about Diesels but pushing the rules is racing. First Question..If the diesel would have lost would you still not want them in your class. I know that if you think there is a rule infraction lets look into the rules to see if its a loop hole before we use words like CRYING and CHEATING. Second Question is if aftermarket computerize engine turners are allowed in your class, such as Bulldog systems and such. And if they are not using one your probably going to have to keep racing him or is there something else I'm missing. |

| Message | Anyone know of a STOCK diesel that will run a 4.7 through the flat track? I haven't seen one!! lost to one tonight!! Diesels should be in a class of their own. Period. Gas trucks can't make the torque they make. Here is another question.... If exhaust can be modified, can the TURBO on a DIESEL be a bigger aftermarket unit? I mean, it does effect the exhaust as well as the intake!! wouldn't that be breaking the rules. By the way....what are the rules? I would think that when someone is BLATANTLY breaking them, they would be DISQUALIFIED like in any other motorsport. Not be allowed to keep points and be paid place money that didn't win fairly.......and get away with it until the next time they show up. I would think. I guess that's just me though. To the three BOYS in that diesel..... I am going to do all I can to keep you out of the A street class. Prepare to be challenged during registration NEXT RACE. Prepare to prove that your truck is STOCK....running a 4.7..... I hope, for your sake that you can. Although, I highly doubt it, seemings how at the end of the night you tap revved it to show me the little puffs of black smoke your STOCK diesel was making. I don't "make the rules" but, I am going to do all I can to try and keep trucks running against one another FAIRLY. Matt- Good job cutting your time for the third week in a row. Try not to let them boys expose your "supercharger". As if a supercharged street truck wouldn't do anything but spin. dipshits.... |
