MessageHey Trig this is Hank. Put limiting straps on the fron axle or build you som drop brackets for the brake line. The front axle is droping to far causing it to pull the lines out of the crimp. Happens alot on jeeps if the front is traveling to far. The valve you are talking about will not cause that problem. You can close or plug the rear axle brakes off and it still will not build enough pressure to blow the brake lines. Can't tell you about the wife thing but the travel is getting your brake lines. Been doin this for a long time and will bet the farm that is the problem.
Want to thank every one for a good night of racing and thanks to all those that helped Jonnie when she rolled her Jeep over. Thanks guys for the help. Hopefully arm will heal quickly and can get back to racing soon. It was a pretty good night of racing and hope to see everyone in 2 weeks. smilie

MessageTrig- If you went from rear drum to rear disc, it could very well be the proportioning valve causing it to put to much pressure on the front lines. I believe I had the same issue on my 67 fastback stang when I converted it to rear disc as well. Although, mine was due to the company I got the conversion kit from forgetting to include the new valve.
I will do some research and let you know what I find or you can call Big Wheel offroad and ask Bob, He might be able to tell you the problem. He does a lot od work on jeep stuff over there. smilie

MessageGang - I have blown both front brake lines on the scrambler (for a second time). They break on the frame side connection. And it is right where the fitting is crimped / connected SS line (Both times, both sides). The second set were Russells and the first set were the 4wd brand. I honestly do not think it is an "Amount of travel" problem I have lines for up to an 5 inch lift and only have a 3 inch lift.

The first time I was doing light driving and the the pedal went to the floor... When I got stopped (a story in itself) both lines were blown (honeslty can't think of better word for it). Also at the time I had the old rear with the drum brakes.

The second time was at the track saturday night and they went on the end of my second run... I honestly got on the brakes hard but that should not have been that tough of braking in the mud. Now I have Disc all around.

I have put a stock brake booster on since I got the Scrambler a few years ago. One brake line went early in the process but I am not sure if the line was old, however it blew in the same spot as the "Brand New" lines.

It does not appear that I have any blown seals in the calipers. I am not 100% sure if the proporting valve has the ability to cause it. Heck I haven't ruled out my wife yet.
So... If anyone has any ideas / suggestions other than the last (I'll hire a P.I. for the last possibility) please let me know.

Thx Trig
