| Message | Hello everyone, This is Natraj Iyer from the 1991 batch. Currently I live in the US where I also finished my Ph.D. This website is very well done and brought back so many unforgettable memories. Kudos to all the teachers who were so instrumental in shaping my personality. I still remember all the wonderful people like Mr. Jose, Ms. Coral and Ms. Collette who taught us so much. The scout camps were so amazing and so much fun. Those days of Re. 1 vada pavs will never be back. | Message | Hello Alumni, I passed XI S.S.C. exam in 1975. I am delighted to discover the web site of St. John the Baptist High School. I remember the great teaching staff at our school - Ms. Kamal Kulkarni (Dixit) and Shri RajaRam who taught Sanskrit, Miss Bhatia (Chemistry), Ms. Aloo Shroff (Math), Mr. Gujarathi (Science and Math), Mr. Karunakaran (English), Mr. Phatak (he could teach any subject except Music), Mr. Alex D'Silva (known for Music and any subject), Mr. D'Cruz (P.T. and field hockey). The list is by no means exhaustive. Ms. Violet Soares, Ms. Celia Remedios, Mr.P.K. Raphael, Mr. Mathias and Mr. Dubey will also be cherished until eternity. Father Godinho, who stressed grammar in the middle school, was instrumental in developing the school library in his penultimate year as Principal. Father Leslie taught us the poem "Jacobite's Epitaph". Father Michael and Father Gonsalves are also not forgotten. I am proud to be an alumnus of a great historic institution in Thane. St. John the Baptist Children We are..... I have to confess that i do not remember the prayers that were recited during the morning assembly,and after the recesses and the end of the school day. I miss the toll of the church bells. |
