MessageI've been keeping up with Ellen's sampler charts for a very long time. When a new chart comes out I buy it with no hesitation. Ellen's charts are all beautiful and exciting to stitch.
Wish I could live with only a few hours of sleep so I could stitch at least eight hours a day.
Ellen is such a giving person. A few weeks ago I bought Ellen's pattern "Paradise Lost" and could not find the green linen that was used. When I e-mailed Ellen she very quickly guided me to one of her linen sources. I ordered the linen needed and received it with in 2-3 days. I was very thankful and appreciative. Ellen is A+.

MessageHi, Ellen -

I'm so sorry to hear about your back troubles. I had a similar problem in 1996 and had great success with the surgery. And I discovered that I could stitch while lying flat on my back!

We so enjoyed having you to Dallas for our multi-day workshop a few years ago and hope we'll be able to welcome you to our area again soon!

Best of luck with your surgery - I wish you a speedy recovery!

Warmest wishes,
Karen Hamilton

MessageDear Ellen- I had no idea that you were having back problems and still recovering from Cataracts. This no fun - Ehen I started with my knee problems - I saw a quote that said "Inside every older person, There is a a younger person askng 'What the hell happened here?'. I can totally relate. I had a great time in England and saw almost everything- I walked at least 3 miles a day - with my cane- and I felt it in my back for the 1st 10 days and then my knee hurt and so it took me acouple of weeks to recover- My Dr said that is normal as the knee is not totaly healed for another 6 mos. So the lesson here is not to discouraged and be patient with your recovery. It is frustrating not to be able to stitch and design as much as you would like to. If you wil be having home health care and therapy- I heartily recommend Gem City home care - everyone was wonderful, very competent and very patient and encouraging. If you need interim care- do not go to Brookwood- Chesterwood village is far superior. I have some home equipment- you can use if you need it.
I just picked up the Catherine Theron kit at Judy Laning's very interesting and very pretty.
I will keep you in my prayers - Plesae let us know if you and Tom need help- Bob is not working and would be glad to come sit with you when Tom has errands etc. I am back at work so I am not sure that we would be much help with meals.
Whe is the grandbaby due? LOve Marsha
