MessageThought for the present owner. Hire a caretaker ASAP charge admission. You own a historical gem. Invest the funds in restoration. You may be surprised at the number of people interested in exploring the grounds or even helping the restoration project physically or financially. Whatever direction you plan, please don’t just sit and do nothing. Your loosing ground every day you hesitate. Make our future generations proud of what you did to keep this the gem as it was ment to be, a world treasure.

MessageLove to get the chance to walk around the grounds and check it out. Wish some rich person would pick up the opportunity to finish and refine what has been started. As a B&B it could allow us the chance to share the feeling of living the regal life. smilie smilie

MessageI was just there on July 30, 2017 taking photos with permission from the head of the Masonic chaper that owns Dundas Castle. They are trying to raise money and awareness to rebuild this magnificent place, and possibly use it as a bed & breakfast. They are open to ideas and help to make this happen...
It's outer construction is still great and the slate roof is holding up well, the interior is empty and of course vandalism has made a mess of the walls. but to look at it from the outside... it really hasn't changed much.
I grew up in Roscoe and have been familiar with this place for many years. I still loved visiting it even last weekend. smilie smilie
If people would stop tresspassing and ruining it, I think they would be happy to allow people there by invitation.
If you have any ideas that can help them bring this place back to life... they'd love to hear about it
