I am very nervous to see how she handles the drug. She had a really hard time with the Tramadol pain medicine from the surgery - so I am even more nervous about the chemo. She is such a sweet dog, she will be eleven this year. She is truly one of our family and I can't imagine life without seeing her sweet and kind face each day. She is our protector and we love her so much. |

| Message | Tanner was just diagnosed a couple of days ago with suspected hemangiosarcoma in his liver and spleen. He is only 7 years, 8 months. Tanner has a chronic anxiety disorder associated with loud noises like thunder and fireworks. Since Jan 1st fireworks, he started to go downhill. It has been a long month with decreased appetite, fatigue, weight loss, infected cyst and tapeworm issues. After surgery to remove his infected cyst along with the five other sebaceous cysts, Tanner still rarely ate and vomited every other day. Ten days of homeopathic treatment didn't seem to be effective so we went back for another consult with a different vet clinic. Then the devasting news.... he was dying. An enlarged liver, atypical nodule on his spleen, and evidence of abnormal cell growth thoughout his liver on ultrasound sent us into a journey we never prepared ourself for. Never did I think that this would develop in him and to get to this state where he wouldn't likely survive a biopsy due to his condition at this time. Please say a prayer to keep him as comfortable as possible during these last days as we have been told that me may not survive beyond two weeks. Tanner is a dog that everyone knows and loves. He is the most incredible dog who loves his mommy and daddy. His sister Lily has been reared by Tanner and they both love each other too. Please send all your positive energy to Tanner because the power of positive energy will no doubt be felt by this very sensitive dog. Thank you all. |
