MessageDear Deron -

God brought you to our attention while praying for a Baptist church in Willmar. We were there to pray for the ministry and people of the church and during prayer requests someone asked if we could pray for a young doctor who had just had a transplant. I simply asked if we could have a name and she gave yours. I was amazed! Since that time you and your family, including your mom and Dawn have been in our prayers. The last few nights have brought you to my prayers for periods of time and I'm trusting that God's presence has been felt in tangible ways. Prayers will continue as you all walk this journey.

Blessings - Barb Erickson (Mike's mom)

MessageDeron and Jan,
I think of you both and your children often, I did not work with Deron long in the morque before I excepted a fulltime position in Materials Mgmt. but, the short time we worked together I knew you were a kind person with an infectious smile. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family for a successful transplant. Keep that smile. Tammie Anderson

MessageDear Deron and Jan,

"Behold, God is my salvation, I will (trust) and not be afraid; for the Lord God is my (strength)
and my song and He has become my salvation"
Isaiah 12:2

Sspeaking of "songs", there are two choruses that have been a great encouragment to me, because they took my worries and focused them on the "Great Physican". One is "Learning to Lean", at a time when my Mom was diagnosed with cancer. the other is the "Cares Chorus"--I cast all my cares upon "You"--which Nancy sent to me when we were taking care of Grandpa in our home.

Just wanted to remind you that we are praying and that we love you.

MessageDERON AND JAN, SO HAPPY TO HEAR THINGS ARE TAKING SUCH A POSITIVE TURN! IT WAS SO GREAT TO SEE A PIC OF THE FAMILY. YOU ALL LOOK GREAT...ESPECIALLY WITH WHAT YOU ARE BOTH GOING THROUGH. I SPOKE WITH YOUR SISTER AND MOM TODAY, DERON. THEY HAD GONE OUT FOR PIZZA AND DAIRY QUEEN FOR LUNCH...AND JUST THINK, YOUR RIGHT BEHIND THEM, WHEN YOUR DONE WITH THE CLEAR LIQUIDS! I WANTED TO THANK YOU BOTH, JAN AND DAWN, FOR TAKING THE TIME TO KEEP ALL OF US INFORMED ON DERON'S PROGRESS. I KNOW IT IS SO TIME CONSUMING FOR BOTH OF YOU, ESPECIALLY AFTER MANY EXHAUSTING DAYS. IT HAS MEANT SO MUCH TO BE ABLE TO FOLLOW HIS MIRACULOUS RECOVERY, ESPECIALLY NOW WHEN EVERY DAY SEEMS TO BRING ONE MORE SMALL VICTORY. OUR LOVE AND PRAYERS TO BOTH OF YOU. JUST ONE MORE MEMBER OF "TEAM ARNOLD", ERIN

MessageHappy Birthday Deron! I love the picture and I think you were about this age when I brought you to kindergarten roundup at Hillcrest. I remember all of us neighborhood kids hanging out together in your back yard. I even remember Deron's birthday parties when we would play "hide the belt" and then chase each other around the house trying to hit someone with the belt before they could get to home base (I'm guessing that game would need a gentler version these days! smilie Even your dad would get in the game and chase us with the belt! I remember playing Farmer in the Dell and Red Light Green Light with all the neighborhood kids: Mike and Heidi Hattlestad, Brent and Andrea and Craig Ullery, Robin Kranz, and Scott Sebring. we had SO much fun playing nightgames in the summer too, but I never got the hang of croquet even though you and Erik loved it!

I've been keeping up with you through my mom, and I am very optimistic that you are going to continue to feel better and stronger every day. I told your mom a while ago that there is a man at my church who had CF and had a lung transplant at the U about 4 years ago. Now he's doing great and I see him at church and around town with his kids all the time. His road was a little bumpy at first, so hang in there and keep fighting the good fight!

I'm glad I got to send a message on your actual birthday, although I agree that having a birthday week is a great idea! Take care! We'll keep praying for you! Kris
