| Message | With regard to the relationship of phenomena on a more fundamental level, could this be one way of looking at this: There is a mountain peak in the Monashees in Canada that bears a striking resemblance to a particle in a scanning electron microscope slide that I once saw. This "scale independence" seems remarkable and unbelievable on our level of understanding, but on a more fundamental level (which at present we do not know), it would seem completely natural. |

Simply put, I am a husband and father of two children and for the past year and a half we, as a family, have been sitting down and reading, studying and ultimately seeking a higher and deeper purpose to aspire towards. | Message | Greetings! As one of J.A. Wheeler's former students at Princeton, I was hoping to perhaps get a bit of your insight on some ideas centered about the foundational fact that the fourth dimension is expanding at the rate of c relative to the three spatial dimensions, or dx4/dt=ic. All of relativity may be mathematically derived from dx4/dt=ic as it provides relativity's physical foundations which Einstein yet sought, and an added benefit is that the physical model of a fourth expanding dimension provides a foundational physical mechanism for quantum mechanics' nonlocality, probability, and entanglement while also providing the foundational asymmetry underlying time and all its arrows and asymmetries and the second law of thermodymanics. The beautifully simple dx4/dt=ic is quite the explainer and unifier. My award-winning, NSF-funded physics Ph.D. dissertation pertained to an artificial retina for the blind which is now restoring sight in patients (The first treatment of dx4/dt=ic appeared in the dissertation's appendix). I have become a fine art photographer (averaging over 1,000,000 views/day!), so the center and circumference of my life in physics has been light and beauty. |
