MessageVery excited about idea of Brad Pitt versus Siberian tiger! Taiga, Russian village buried in the snow, Brad in “shapka", armed with an MP-142! That's going to be great! Ussuri tigers are the most beautiful creatures in the world, killing one must be heart-wrenching! Unless it is to save your child, or a woman you love! I am curious where the movie will be shot? I really like Daren’s work, and hope that movie with Pitt would be just as believable and incredibly intense, as the Wrestler.

MessageI support your work!

A quick story. Few films really hit me, and I mean really hit me! As a filmmaker myself I always 'see' the camera and 'see' the techniques. But with Requiem for a Dream - although the editing/score etc was all very jarring and obvious - I fell right into it. Many people have had this experience and it is a magic. A rare cinematic drug. I saved up and flew, with a friend, to Coney Island all the way from Coventry, England. (Coincidentally the same home town as Clint Mansell). Maybe, if one of my films enters the 'community', I'll be able to meet you and thank you personally for this experience. You only live one life and I cannot tell you how fortunate I feel to live at this moment with so many fantastic artists around me; seemingly at our fingertips too.

Also, while I am at it, I thought The Wrestler was the best film of 2008. Funny too, because when I saw the trailer I thought "what? No, what is Darren thinking!" I thought it'd be some Crazy Heart sort of biopic. Completely wrong of course and in fact I think the film is perfect. I travelled all the way across country to see it with some friends too... I will only ever see it once however, as it's too emotional for me.

Well done and like I said, I fully support you!

MessageVERY excited for the Robocop reboot and hope you're still attached...the original was a serious masterpiece in spite of itself and still there is nothing else like it. I love your other movies, and I'm hoping you can bring a level of emotional depth the first could never have had, especially when dealing with Murphy's death and being seperated from his family. One of the reasons I enjoy your work so much is you seem to emphasize setting a mood and the use of imagery to convey actual feelings. There is always something more. I appreciate the good faith MGM had in attaching you to the project - hopefully the film goes for the jugular. Some 80's electronic synth music and gratuitous firearms useage wouldn't be a bad idea either. EXCITED.

MessageHi Darren Aronofsky,
First heard about you as i was scrolling through the top 250 movies on imdb.com. I read about requiem for a dream and wanted to see it straight away, although unfortunately i didn't.
I then heard about all the critical acclaim a movie called the Wrestler was getting so i decided to see it. I loved it and is in my top 10 favorite films of all time. When i searched it on imdb.com i saw that you were the director and realised it was the same director of requiem for a dream. So i decided to buy it, and i was not disappointed. It was not better than the Wrestler though, which is a good thing, because it shows that you are getting better with every movie,so good work.
I then heard about Black Swan and plan on seeing it the first day it comes out. I love all your work and think you are the best director of the decade and one of the best of all time. I just don't want you to stuff up Black Swan because i'd be so disappointed, along with many of your other fans. So please pull off your best film yet with Black Swan. Make Black Swan something spectacular, because i know you have the skills and creativity to do that.
Thanks From Michael Jones

MessageHey man, love your movies. Specially 'The Fountain', one of the most beautiful, thought-provoking and emotionally compelling films I have ever seen.

And don't let MGM ruin the Robocop remake! [Although I must admit hiring you is a good sign of good faith on their part] If there's someone who can create a GOOD Robocop movie (even if quite distinct from the spectacular original), it is you. So please try to stay onboard the project and fight to do it your way.

Anyway, best o' luck with Black Swan! I'll surely be watching it. Keep it up with your masterful films, cheers!
