MessageMy husband currently joined Fire & Iron 17. I tagged along to the last meeting to check it out and see what the club was all about. I was very impressed with all the charitable work that is done through the club and it sounds like they have a blast in the meantime. Above all I was impressed with the hospitality. Not being much of an outgoing person when I first meet people, I was prepared to sit quietly in the corner and just take it all in. This was the first group that I couldn't stay away from people if I tried! smilie Everyone was very welcoming. After just a short while I felt like I was part of the group. A special thanks to Bill & Jean and Amy, they were awesome! Chris scared me a bit (just kidding!)It is a great characteristic to be able to make people laugh! She is great! I learned a lot and went away with a great feeling about your organization. I look forward to helping out with totes on the 19th and the Christmas tree burn sounds like a blast. Thanks again!

MessageSeptember 11th 2009

How will you remember the fallen? Every year I post the same question.
Saturday September 12th 12:30pm-9pm. Watertown WI.
I am holding my 8th annual 9/11 Memorial BBQ. For 8 years now it has grown bigger and bigger, allowing me to get more and more people together to celebrate the lives of the victims of the Towers, the rescue personal that gave their lives to save them, and the solders that sacrifice everything to avenge both and prevent another tragic loss of life.
I honor these people with a BBQ, an all American BBQ. I wanted to get family and friends together and remember that day, and to let those that thought to hurt us know that we will never bow our heads and cower. We will live, and we will live free. We can be hurt, we can shed tears, but we will never let the memory of those that have fallen be tarnished. We will honor our fallen. We will remember the innocent. We will laugh and we will sing and we will remember.
We have been getting together for the last several years and every year I see new faces and returning families. Again this year I thank Aero Park and the Marine Corps League for donating the use of their park and facilities.
To all the merchants and business and bands that are helping to put together an event worthy of this occasion, I can’t say thank you enough. Thank you for your pledges of food, prizes, manual help, and services. We are asking for everyone who donates to bring a banner o

MessageA big thanks to station 17 for an awesome ride Sat. July 11TH for the Burn Camp. All the work put into it was amazing and your hearts are just as amazing!! We rode in "group 2" and our "leader" did a great job... even up to the people at our stops thanking us for coming and for our support. It's a great feeling knowing we could all help. Looking forward to next year's ride. Again thanks for a great time!
