| Message | I agree with what you're saying here. i've always believed this. Gene Edwards wrote some good books about the early church that paint a great picture of how they 'lived'. they helped shape how i view life here on earth. anyways, lately i've been thinking a lot about how the church continues 'dismembering' itself every time there's a new sub-denomination, some believers split off, or something like that. and we keep ourselves segregated. everyone i've ever met that goes to church, only attends one church, 'their church'. they never attend other churches unless their friend invites them to 'their church'. when in any decent sized city there is a CHRISTIAN church less than 1 mile away from another one, why do the brothers seem like they're not even related? i think it's disgusting and despicable and quite saddening. and i want find a way to get the members of the body of christ back together. i figure the best place to start is the house churches and maybe those beleivers can infiltrate the 'church goers'. |

| Message | Dear Brother in Christ, I have been reading your website for a few weeks now, and it is difficult to express the relief and joy I have been experiencing. My husband and I have long had a disconnect with the institutionalized church for nearly 30 years. We were squeezed out of a "covenant" church for wanting to marry, and have been wanderers ever since. He completely disconnected, but I have been beating my head against a brick wall for decades. When I read the scriptures I see one thing, but when I would go to "churches" I would see another. I began this leg of my journey by "stumbling" on Charles Elliot Newbold, Jr.'s The Harlot Church." It was a revelation with a profound "ring of truth." I believe I am in step with the Holy Spirit, and my relief and joy is inexpressible. May He bless and keep you. Eileen Hoyland |

| Message | You know before I heard of home churches I thought something was wrong with me. The reason being is that I am a christian but, I lost interest in church attendance years ago. It's just so BORING to me to go sit up in a building every week just to go through the same routine. I started attending this home church in Virginia on tuesday nights but, I haven't been lately because I don't own a car that I can drive to get there. So I'm in search of one in my area(Gaithersburg, MD). |
