MessageEmily, thanks for the alert! I replaced it with the extract-only that is available now (they are charging for the rest of it in their archives). The extract gives a good idea though.

MessageHello! I've found your site again after having forgotten about it for some time.
I found your interesting page about the Joyce Hatto hoax. I tried clicking on your link titled "Bronfman's view of the pirating of his Rachmaninov" but this article is no longer available on that site. I'm curious: can you tell me what Bronfman thought about this pirating?
thanks.

MessageGreetings Andrys,
I was clicking through the Avery Fisher Hall website to try to find decent tickets to Martha's Nov 15-16 concerts with the Verbier Festival Orchestra (all good seats seem to be gone already), and I stumbled upon this notice of a 5-day event in April 08 with the NY Phil. Thought you might like to post it at some point.
I continue to immensely appreciate your website for information on my favorite pianist's concert schedule. Many thanks!

MessageJust to let you know. Martha Argerich canceled her concert last sunday (may 20) in Amsterdam. She was to perform with Nelson Freire, who had to carry the recital on his own, except for a guest performance by the two brothers Arthur & Lucas Jussen (10&14 yr old). Apparently Martha Argerich had serious family problems in Switzerland. According to todays newpaper De Volkskrant her granddaughter was missing.

It was surely a dissapointment. Not only was the audience eagerly anticipating the concert. It was also the 20th anniversary of this particular concert series, and the Queen, crownprince and mayor were present.

Nelson Freire's contribution can be listened to online in the week after May 27.

Jacco
