Message	any idea how to get argerich to the us? i would really like to see her sometime before she quits. she is like never in the us, heck if i had the money i'll go to europe and visit, but that's not within my budget. does she like take suggestions from people as to where she will perform or something? do you have to email or what? : ) why do argerich and zimerman boycott the us, what did we ever do to them except attend their concerts and buy their cds!!

The concert is to take place on 8 December as part of the official Nobel Week programme of activities. Martha Argerich, headstrong, charismatic and technically brilliant pianist, is this year's soloist at the Nobel Prize Concert. Yuri Temirkanov, Music Director and Principal Conductor for the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic will be leading the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. The programme comprises Ravel's Piano Concerto in G major and Prokoviev's Suite from Romeo and Juliet." _______

Message	Nickie, I've not heard of any cancellation yet. It's still listed in the program pointed to at - andrys.com/argconcs.html#oct09 She's more apt to appear when Dutoit is conducting, but these things are just never guaranteed, even when confirmed. When you do decide that it's time to take a chance, then you'd need to assure the other person that you can pay them before they spend the money on a ticket. Also, if you're going there and have a travel agent, that's the one who should get the ticket. Normally, no refunds. It's easiest if you have an account at paypal.com ... Best of luck!
