| Message | Thurman Munson was my favorite Yankee and favorite baseball player period. He deserves to be in the hall of fame. I was 14 when he died. When I heard on the radio I cried for over an hour. |

I'm not nor never will be a Yankees fan, but he and fellow Yankee Cory Lidle both dying in plane crashes, they along with select other Yankees are forever immortalized in my heart. |

| Message | I haven't been able to understand why he is not in the Hall of Fame for years now. He has always been amongst my favorite catchersm and as a kid I modeled much of my catching style after him. I think that it is nice that the Yankees retired his number and locker, but I think that it is time to honor him at the highest level. |

| Message | Thurman was my most favorite player. When he died I was in Arkansas visiting my sister. My mom called and told me and kept all the articles so I could see them. I go to his grave ever once in a while. I sure do miss him. Nancy Young then. I was 15 or 16 when he died. |
