MessageAssalamualaikaum...
I happened to stumble on Qadiri Rifai Tariqa while researching my ancestory back to Sumatra Indonesia, and found out that a branch of Silat Tua Minangkabau came from Silat Zulfikari.
Since the Qadiri teachings are available only in the States, Taiwan, Tanzania and Arusha(wherever that is), i'm intrigued to know about Qadiri Rifai Tariqa and where should i go to know more about this near to me in Asia. Would really appreciate your feedback.

MessageSalaam alaikum, Mushtaq! I'm writing from St. Louis, MO.

I ran into your website researching silat. I study aikido, but I have an interest in most of the martial arts.

We train with jo staff in aikido, but not that often. I have a nice one made of hickory, but I don't want to rough it up by using it as a walking stick.

So, I'm interested in the fimbo I saw on the Silat Zulfikari site. The site said to e-mail you about it, so I guess I will do that if you don't e-mail me as a result of this greeting.

Please e-mail me.

MessageSkimmed your profile. First person I've known who has said they've seen Pow wow Highway. Saw it years ago on videotape. Still remember it.
