We sat by the fire tonight in your garden and celebrated your life and grieved that your life ended before ours did. Connie and I had a toast at the bar on Sleepy Hill...and I toasted you again last night. I have had sad days lately thinking of what you are missing here. Today I even went to church; it was a very powerful service and I enjoyed it (felt your presence). The only hymn was "Jesus Loves Me", the one we had at your service...imagine that (a sign that you're okay). Life is good, but! Watch over our three boys and princess and all our family. | Message | Just happened upon this page. Only met Ryan a few times but remember him well as a very visible and well liked member of the community. He was more of a friend of friends. I remember his smile well and his courteous attitude in Dominion. To Ryans parents: his tremendous impact upon all those he encountered in too short a life is a credit to you. Many people spend a lifetime without ever achieving his generosity of spirit. It is inspiring to have encountered it. I believe you will be reunited again happily some day. |

| Message | Dearest Son, 12 years! We have survived 12 years without you, so we know Psalm 139 is very real. We are still heartbroken and will be until we meet again, but we do have many good days. Yesterday we carried new flowers to your resting place. Today we drove to Grand Falls in your Tahoe and visited Aunt Nora...she is wonderful; then we visited Nan in her new home...she is settled in and enjoying her new life. We came home and sat in your garden with a lovely fire going and set off a Chinese lantern in your honour. We have so much to be thankful for. Bronson, John Ryan, Winston and FINALLY a princess Jemma (but she's not a brown-eyed girl, but a brown-haired girl..lol). Our home in Marystown is sold and Eastport is our official home, even tho Melanie says we are homeless! lol And we love being homeless...Florida here we come! We have no right to complain about life - it is good - imagine how good it would be for us if you were still here. That is the cross we bear. Our hearts ache for you. | Message | This is the first time I ever visited the site. I knew Ryan in school and he was always the life of the party. He could put a smile on anyones face.  I came across this site from a link shared on Marystown Minor Softball, where Ryan's parents sponsor a division of the league and fittingly called, "Penny's Whistle" Thank you for everything you give back in Ryan's memory. |

| Message | Hi Precious Son, Happy 35th Birthday to you today...we spent the day thinking of you. Dad and I visited your gravesite and left balloons; finished your garden, hung the new sign and balloons; had trout, Kraft dinner and Black Horse for supper. We miss you and would love to hug you forever...it cannot happen, but we look forward to the day. So many of your friends left messages, some privately, and we know how they miss you. The regulars (of our family) acknowledged your birthday and for that, we were very thankful that you are still on their minds and in their hearts. We know every name of those who remember you...we will never, ever forget that. Our broken hearts wait to see you again and to be healed once we feel your arms around us again.
