| Message | The Kenneth Covey (Part 1): You just gave our readers a beautiful example of the Oneness people's hypicrisy. You see ... it was you that brought up church history by mentioning the early church. Tell me ... why is that when someone turns things around on you and shows you historical documentation proving that the church was baptizing according to Matthew 28:19, you "all of the sudden" don't need church history anymore? Furthermore, why do you call the Catholic church the great whore (to which I agree) and speak of how deceptive they are, but then expect everyone to believe their encyclopedias? I find that strange! I think the best thing for you to do is quit quoting from the "great whore"! You say you don't need anything but the Bible, but all you can give is Scripturally is Romans 6:3. Not one logical person is going to read that verse and see a baptismal formula in it. Here it is: Ro 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Paul simply said we are baptized "into Jesus Christ". Who in Christendom doesn't believe that? This has nothing to do with a baptismal formula. The only difference is, we believe it is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. You believe it is by works of men. |

| Message | To Pastor Lamb. You are denying history when you say the catholic church did not change the baptism. Romans 6 vrs. 3 tells us the church at Rome first baptized in the name of Jesus. Then the baptism was changed and the doctrine of the trinity was introduced.come on Open your eyes who do you think the Great whore is. Its the catholic church headquartered at Rome. | Message | Kenneth "Christ" ... The reason we don't baptize in the name of Jesus' only is (outside of today’s 2/3s atheistic Modalists) KNOW-ONE has EVER baptized in that formula! I'll eat my computer if you can give me ONE Scriptural instance of a preacher standing in a pool of water, dunking somebody under the water with your formula! Furthermore, HISTORY DOES NOT tell us the Roman Catholic Church changed the baptismal formula - a bunch of Encyclopedias say that! They never cite a single historical document proving their supposition! I’d also like for you to present ONE historical document, before 1914, citing a preacher standing in the water, dunking someone under the water in your formula. Don’t feel bad ... I’ve wrote the UPC organization about 4 times and they can’t produce it either. And just for the record, those same encyclopedias teach numerous false doctrines (especially the Catholic encyclopedias). Next, it would be good for you to pay close attention to Acts 2:38, 8:16, 10:48, and 19:5 - 3 out of 4 of them use different wording. Every time the phrase “in the name of” is used is means “in the authority and power of”. EVERY TIME! Finally, a wife takes on her husband’s last name ... what’s Jesus’ last name? Christ? Is your new name “Kenneth Christ”? Ever read the Didache? A 70 A.D. historical document proving baptism was according to Mt. 28:19 even while the apostles were still living.
