| Message | Lynn, I just finished looking at the pics and read the guestbook. I left Yarmouth in Dec'63 so most of the and pictures were after that. As my feeble memory allows me to recall, when I left, there were three bands active in and around Yarmouth. The Ferraris, who can ever forget them? Harvey,(Flab), was my hero. I bought my first set of drums from him. The Mystics, new kids on the block at the time but a very energetic and talented group of guys. And how could we ever forget the "Ocelots", fondly referred to as the "Not so Hots" by the Ferraris. I played the drums for the Ocelots for a while. John Tufts(piano) Scotty MacMullen (sax) Scott ? (sax)"Tall Paul" (guitar). Paul taught me a lesson abouth keeping all my drum gear together when he had to take me back to the Lion's club to pick up my snare drum so we could finish our second gig in one night at the old Golf Club on Main Street. Sorry about not remembering some of the last names of some of the members of the Ocelots but this is the best I can do. Some of the other people involved with getting groups together and who I played drums with were, Wally Scoville, (bass)Leonard Boudreau(guitar), Bobby Vachon(vocalist) I still have one of our buisness cards from that group,The Futuras. I wonder if Don Rodgerson recalls when we "acquired" the piece of wood that he wanted to make a Bass Guitar from? Once again Lynn, Thank You so Much" Sandy Christie |
