MessageLinda and I came to visit this summer and connect with my roots. My mother lived in Victoria Village and I pretty sure half my relatives are buried in the cemetary there. My mother's name was Julia Mae Clarke. If anyone know information about her I would very much like to hear.

Thanks

Messagesmilie Carbonear is a beautiful town & even more so when I was growing up. I miss the town area and all the stores that are no longer there or closed up.

I am dismayed as to why the streets remain in bad shape, what does it take to get the pot holes etc cleaned up.

I lived in Carbonear for 16 yrs and loved it - and every chance I get I go back for a visit. One request, get the post holes cleaned up...especially if we want to entertain our visitors... smilie

The Friday nite Tour is a Cemetery Tour with a chilling tale!Back at the Railway Museum after there's a lot of different entertainment (see local newspaper: Compass for details)every Friday night after the walk.Excellent way to learn all about the history of this wonderful old Town!
