MessageSuch a fan from your inceptioon. Used to DJ and lights at a nightclub in the early 80s and my whole sense of fashion at the time was derived by your boots and boweryboy look! Still cannot stop listening to Just got Lucky! smilie

MessageI love the new article, please release the third record now, I remember how happy I was when I received Benjamin Orr (The Cars) second and still unrelased CD. I just got to hear it, I bought a bootleg CD on Ebay and it had 3 tracks nor released anywhere, all songs were great.

Respect and I wish U guys all the BEST.

A loyal fan from Halmstad Sweden
Cheers
Richard

MessageFantastic that the music world gets a 2nd exposure of Joboxers so long after they originally entertained us back in the 80's. Tracks like these should never be forgotten and thank to the people that put this site together for keeping the music alive.

MessageIt all dated back once night when I was back home in Canada in 2004, watching Retro Boggie Night on MuchMusic Video T.V. I saw this interesting really cool funky song with alot of dinging and fast spoken singing, It was kind of hard to understand if the song was called:
"Joes Got Nothing" or "Just Got Lucky" but i remember finding the song online by the artist Joboxers.

I viewed more hits: smilie boxerbeat, johnny friendly. I like it blues, pop mixed in. Interesting to know what happened to you guys, did you have the same direction of ideas like The Police in 84 ?
Be great to hear what you guys are doing and will you do a world tour 1 more time or so after 2011 ?

Chris

MessageJust rediscovered some of the old tracks from my childhood, so looked up this website! Tight, flowing, sharp sound that bridged the 80s pop sound of the day with ska and funk. Still sounds fresh today as ever....

MessageHey kiaora Joboxers, loved your style, loved your music. I was the guy dressed as a Joboxer at the Christchurch open air concert in 1983? I think Simple Minds played too. I was the happyest guy in town when U2 cancelled and were replaced by you guys.I think the chemistry you guys had and what brought you together wasn't an accident, like the Clash , you could feel vastness of what you were doing. You drew inspiration from the universe. Hey its very cool to see how many lives you touched.i'll always remember that concert in Christchurch and how accessible you were to the crowd. No regrets it was all just perfect. Can't really believe you guys were as lippy as Dig made out. All the best, John
