MessageThanx Debbie & thanx for stopping by!

We were lucky to be so close & able to see Gypsy. If she could only talk to us, I know she'd have a story to tell.

I also told Tri County they needed to have a page for Gypsy, because people from all around want to know how she's doing and it's a great educational story on the cruelty of dog fighting. But they don't want people to think they're using her for $$. Those of us who love our bullies know it wouldn't be like that.

MessageI was just surfing to check on the progress of Gypsy, the little red Pit Bull that had been mutilated beyond (almost) repair. I ended up on your website to see the most wonderful pictures. Thank you so much for posting them!!! They brought tears to my eyes. I have been following this story for some time, and was so amazed at the transformation that this sweetie has made. It's too bad that Tri-County isn't posting updates anymore. This is a serious public education issue, too bad for them if they don't realize it. I just want to say thank you for having Gypsy on your website. She looks amazing, I would have given anything for the opportunity to meet this brave little bully. Hopefully people will realize that there are more Pits like her than not.

MessageYou're doing a fantastic job with your blog Andee and Shasta and I wanted to let you know how informative it is.
Fom reading below, I couldn't help remembering (hopefully correctly), Shepards had the bad name in the 70's, 80's was the dobies, 90's were the rotties. 2000's is the pitties. Every generation brings on a new dangerous breed. In all those times it was exactly the same. The responsible and irresponsible. History repeats itself. Why not stop the repeat so this can all end. Stop the irresponsible owners from obtaining dogs to damage. Stop back yard breeders and dog fighters. Stop the puppy mills. The 'bad guys will only go onto another breed. The bull mastiff, the preso canario's. If we don't stop the 'bad guys' the problem will continue for generations more. Such an easy solution...so why don't they get it?
I promised myself, no fighting today, but I just had to make this one comment.
*hugs*

Hi Spyder - back in the '70s my parents used to have a red dobie (Nikki) & she was beautiful. This was back before leash laws, but she had been trained & listened very well. But one day, she was standing to the side of the road (not in, but near) and a car swerved TO hit her... yes, to hit her, there were witnesses that stopped. I truly believe this happened bcuz in the '70s, dobies were considered dangerous dogs. I hate to sound so negative, but unfortunately, we all need to be concerned with this BSL, because it could happen to any breed, anywhere. We must stick together & stand strong!

MessageLove your blog and I can't agree more on the ban of Pits and look-alikes. We raise dobies and also feel threatened by these kinds of legislation.

Is your dog an XPERT AMSAFF line? My mother-in-law raises them in upstate NY, and she pretty much kept that line going.
