MessageI served in L Troop from Jan.'70-July '71. Drove for three CO's, Capt's Enyart, Grew and Oliver in that time frame. Saw some beautiful scenery and like everyone else endured some harsh winter weather at Wildflecken and Graf and enjoyed the summers on the Border. Good job on the 3rd Squadron website. Would enjoy hearing from anyone who served in the same era.

MessageGretings to all the guys of the 3rd Sqdr. I was in Lima Troop from June 1960 to March 1962.My tour was extended because of the Berlin Wall.I came over with, and went home with Gerald Theoret, who is also on thius message board. Those years were a great experience.I made many good friends.Bad Hersfeld is a beautiful city.I wish I had taken more time to appreciate it.Had some great girlfriends too.Over the last few years,a few of us,from Lima Troop and elsewhere, have gotten together. It's amazing how after all these years the old comradery still exists If anyone out there reads this, and remembers me,please contact me by email at [email protected] .Lets hope the circle keeps getting bigger.

MessageHello all..!! I spent most of '61-'63 in Bad Hersfeld, L Troop, and HHQ troop. Had a great time, and made a lot of friends.Several of us, Herman Schroeder, Jerry Theoret, and Stan Kelly, Roger Smith, and a couple of guys from the second Sqd.got together this Summer in Vermont. It was for me a very emotional experience.Made me think of something that Capt. James K. Randall told one day as I was bitching about driving out in a jeep with what was supposed to be a heater, freezing cold. He said that no matter how uncomfortable you are now, someday you'll wish you could get back together with the guys, sharing one cigarette under a tree in the pouring rain. Know what..? He was right..!!
