MessageHi. It's nice to see Bradninch doing so well in cricket circles. For those who remember me I played between 1972-76 before returning to bristol. I really enjoyed my time at bradninch and wonder how many of the old team are still around. The likes of m/s Foan, Retter, Newell, Nott, Bance. It would be nice to hear from anyone who remembers the "best wicketkeeper" the club ever had.

MessageGood luck to Gary Chappell on his switch. He gave us GREAT service and despite the fact that he has left my beloved Bradninch I am thrilled at the prospect of being able to report regularly on his exploits in the Exmouth Journal. The Birley's do have an aspiring cricketer and much of William's all-round enthusiasm for the game is down to the influence of one Gary Chappell. Good luck Chaps. smilie

MessageGood luck to the 1st XI at home to Torquay (1pm) -and to the 2nds at Barton - hopefully we can secure a double success that would be a fitting aux-revoir to dear old Joe! One last ditty about Joe - his most used two words when watching cricket? I'd have to go for "bloodyyyyy rubbishhhhhhh" - (I smile as I tap the words out)

MessageThanks for the kind words Steve. It is my duty as a coach to help develop the next generation of BCC cricketers and it's a pleasure to have William playing for the U13s with me. Him and the other boys are always at the nets, regardless of the weather, always working hard and enjoying the game and that is what you want to see from young players! Hopefully this weather will improve so the boys can get some match experience under their belts.

You may have 1 or 2 games still in ya P smilie

Thanks for the message about Jabus, he was loved at the club, fitted in well and is always welcome for a return!
