MessageI am the sister of Kelly Langston, the author of the Walking with Alec blog. I just wanted to drop you a little note of encouragement to let you know that you are not alone. I am one of many who stand with you in this fight. I continue to pray for the many mothers out there fighting to rescue their children from the grip of this perplexing condition. I think you are an extraordinary person doing extraordinary work! May God bless you!

MessageIf you could all see how wonderful Chandler is doing. I went by for a visit today, and the boy who never knew I was there took my hand and said, I want swing! I had tears. He laughed and laughed. Higher, he giggled, higher! Not only gorgeous, but as fearless and determined as his mommy. Keep it up, Ginger, you're doing great. smilie

MessageLAUGHTER IS THE KEY TO HAPPINESS, HAPPINESS IS THE KEY TO A LONGER LIVE! DOMINIC IS LAUGHTER AND LIFE! WE ALL KNOW THIS IS A CHALLENGE TO HAVE A CHILD WITH AUTISM OR ANY TYPE OF DISABILITY FOR THAT MATTER. HOWEVER, FOR EVERY STEP HE HAS TAKEN FOWARD (WETHER HE IS 2-3 YEARS BEHIND DEVELOPMENTALLY)TO ME IT FEELS LIKE THE FIRST TIME I EVER GAVE BIRTH( AFTERWARDS NOT DURING LABOR)YOU KNOW THE FEELING OF HAPPINESS, EMOTIONALLY ON TOP OF THE WORLD HOLDING SOMETHING SO SMALL, SO PRECIOUS! WELL THATS THE ONLY WAY I CAN DESCRIBE MY FEELINGS ABOUT DOMINICS ACCOMPLISHEMENTS DEVELOPMENTALLY. I WOULDNT CHANGE HIM FOR THE WORLD. YEAH I AM NOT SAYING ITS EASY....CAUSE ITS NOT....HE HAS SOME MAJOR ISSUES! NEVERTHELESS, UNCONDITIONALLY AND FOREVER I WILL LOVE MY BABY WHO NO MATTER HOW MY DAY HAS BEEN HE CAN ALWAYS MAKE ME SMILE.

Messagehey out there! i am the mom of a beautiful two yr old boy named Cade. he has autism. we believe it was caused by vaccines. he progressed perfectly until after he turned one. he had a good vocabulary, loved to interact with people, played. he was a normal little boy. now, he is nonverbal, nonsocial for the most part, self-abusive, irritable, in other words, he has nearly all the symptoms of autism- which happen to be eerily similar to that of mercury poisoning. i think it's an outrage that people are down right FORCED to vaccinate their children, to put poison into their fragile little bodies. i have had to watch my baby be stripped of his ability to function properly while being force fed by doctors and so called advocates that we should just accept that our children were predisposed to become autistic! i feel so helpless, in spite of what i'm doing for him. something has to be done, this has to be stopped.

MessageI was very glad to stumble across your site, while finding other sites of parents with ASD children. I am a thirt-something mother of three, the youngest of which, SmallBoy, 9, was recently dx with Asperger's. I have suspected for a year or more while doing research, so have had lots of time to deal with and begin acceptance. I am just now beginning to hear all of the possible whys-and-wherefores.

As for now, I'm just happy to know that there are others out there who have some of the same experiences and may have some wisdom to lend. smilie
