| Message | As for your shot at R. Burns  , practice what you preach Eldo! You site from a concordance often, that's not the good book, just one you bought. And it takes the Bible and puts it in context. That's all Rick did, and all Carlos did when they took what the bible says about sinners and put it into differant words.I can tell you don't know these people you are criticising Emo, or you wouldn't be. But I know you, your my mother, not happy unless she's unhappy and everyone else too. Genesis 4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. So are you saying the Lord gave Eve a son from the devil, NO! read it again dude! Now when Cain slew Able he showed himself to be a child of the devil, as being an enemy to all righteousness. And so is every man who is an enemy of righteousness a child of the devil (you might want to think about that one Elmo!) So the answer is yes, no and maybe even maybe, case closed Elmo. move on to the next. Just cause you don't like an answer doesn't make it wrong. Elmo you are indeed a Master baiter, but your using the wrong bait here. This is for building up righteousness, not tearing it down (see above). You go back and read John 8:15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man. Try it Elbo, you might like it! |

Hi my name is Roy, and I am a sinner. I don't want to be, I don't like it that I am, but I do sin. How will I ever experience the redemption offered by God without the support, acceptance, and grace of community. Healthy community does not use put downs, or belittlement. Healthy community affirms, supports, and maintains repectful boundaries. I believe I have been as direct as possible, I hope you Eldo, and you Johnny will be as forthcoming with you identity as you are with the use of scripture. | Message | Hi Eldo and you too Johnny. I am aware that I do not answer many of the questions asked of me. I am purposeful in not being the answer man. Scripture is used as a weapon or a leaver to get others to either agree or be guilty of some heresy. I think that many of the questions asked are trap questions and I don't liked feeling trapped - fear is the emotion here. Some questions are pleas to refute something asserted by another. Some are ploys to not take responsibity for learning for one's self. My model is Jesus, he rarely answered trap questions directly; usually posed by religious leaders. Now,  Once in a while a person will come along and start the question honestly by first stating the intent, such as so & so said, bla, bla and I am confused, or angry, or afraid. What do you think, Roy? I will attempt to give my answer. Even in that, I usually state that the answer is mine. (responsibility for my own stuff)I work with people to find their own answer. I use my sermons to state my understanding of Biblical teachings and yes I believe there are more that two answers and or meanings for most scriptural passages. Finally, I feel angry with Johnny (who ever you are) by making fun of my approach to ministry, life, and God. John the honest approach is to identify yourself and confront me straight up. The approach you took confirmed for me the hazard of answering trap questions. Additionally, I am angry that a site designed for supporting each other is used to make..  |
