| Message | Hi, Folks, This is a great website and brings back lots of memories. My maternal grandfather was Sweetwater Architect Don W. Smith. I have some skeet shooting trophies of his and wonder if they might have been won at the Blue Goose Gun Club? The photo of the "dayworkers" reminds me of my first round-up at the Boothe Ranch, South of town. I was about 9 or 10 and was assigned a mount named "Blackie," who was half Shetland pony, half Mustang, and all ornery. He tried to brush me off under very Mesquite limb he could, but it was all fun. Compliments to the Newman Family for keeping this historic ranch intact. Respects, Michael C. Boothe, M.D. |
