| Message | Hi, Great website! My father, Gene Ballard of Gardena and Paradise, CA, collected and restored antique phonographs, music boxes, and automated music machines. His collection included three Mills Violanos, a banjo, upright disk music boxes, a Wurlitzer 1015, a circus bandwagon with brass trumpets and two drums, and too many phonographs to count. Although he sold most of his collection when my mother passed away, I inherited a few of the better phonographs, an amazing Reginaphone, and an Ivers and Pond player piano. Unfortunately, the player piano has been in storage for almost 14 years. I'm bringing it home this summer. Don't know what condition it is in, and am worried that the "sounding board" might be warped, but I'm hoping for the best. With my father's help, my late husband and I had restored a player piano, so I understand a little about the workings of the instrument. Nevertheless, I know I will return to your website in the future for inspirition. Play on! Eugenia |
