MessageThe only ships that are definitely off-limits are subs. Carriers have the largest MC shops, so odds are you'll end up on on, but I know MCs on amphibs and cruisers. Yeah, you can get up to NY or NJ in 'A' school on the weekend.

Messagecan MC's be stationed on any Navy Vessal or are they primarily on carriers?
How far of base could you go when you were in A school could you go to NJ or NY or would you have to go 140-150 miles off base on the weekend.

Thanks For Your Great Blog

MessageHi, you'll be on phase 1 for about 2 weeks. This means no cell phone, personal computer, civilian clothes, or leaving base. You can use the detachment's computers or payphone in the meantime. You could even ask a more senior student to use their cell.

After that it's phase 2, 3, then maybe 4. This means later curfews.

It's a fluid environment, though, so the time frame may be a little different now.
