Just wanted to know that you guys are still in my prayers and I have been keeping up with Emma's progress daily. She is growing and so beautiful!!! As far as the setbacks go, take one day at a time and let God lead the way...everything will work out! And for the gassy tummy/fussiness, Mylicon is liquid gold. When Kate was small I wish they sold that stuff in 5 gallon buckets!! Put some in EVERY bottle she gets, an entire dropper full, not just the "0.3ml" like the bottle says. I am a nurse and gave my child a whole dropper full each time. I asked many pediatricians and doctors and all of them said it would not hurt!! After her feeding give it about 5-10 minutes and then rub the middle of her back with your knuckles softly alternating every few minutes with pats(I know this sounds horrible, but you dont rub hard like you're giving her a nuggie, but gently!!!) It may work, it worked great for me...Keep your heads up!!! God bless

MessageHi
We are praying for you and your sweet baby. Your account of her crying today (Tue 4/7) reminded me so much of Andrew. He cried the first 4 weeks of his life. If he wasn't sleeping he was crying. I used to say that my definition of breast feeding was to let him eat as long as I could stand the pain and then listen to him cry as long as I could stand the noise. I know what you mean about getting desensitized! The good news is that he turned 23 last week and doesn't cry any more!
You are going through so much. My heart goes out to you! You are such troopers - hang in there!

MessageHey Everybody! I just want to say that you all are amazing people. You are in my prayers everyday and it is helpful to read your blog, Mary Beth, so that I can pray more specifically. I can hardly wait for things to start to turn around, and they will. Please know that we love you all. Gosh, you are so articulate and funny and I can't seem to find words to express what my heart wants you to know. Anyway, please know that you are in my thoughts throughout the day.
Love, Carolyn

MessageLots of mishaps and concerns but all will be settling down soon. She will never know of the bad times but she will know of Daddy kissing her foreward, Mommy holding her hand and her Nan doing a lot of rocking. Next Easter will be frilly dresses and maybe even a bonnet, baskets and lots of bunnies.
Keep praying and keep believing.

MessageI finally got on the blog! Thanks for giving me the address. I can only imagine what you are going through. Sylvia and I are certainly keeping Emma in our prayers. Of course, when we pray for her, we pray for y'all, too. We love you all.

MessageWe having been praying for you and your family and hope that you will be able to bring Emma home really soon. I am not sure if you have already tried it or not, but I left some Flanders on your porch. It is a great diaper rash ointment. If you like it and need more let me know and I will get you more from the pharmacy.

Abby and Brook Shuler
