MessageHi Mary Beth,
I just read your most recent blog. I try to read
them everyday to keep up with Emma's progress.
She is making progress. Waiting is the hardest
part of recovery after surgery. Emma is so lucky
to be born to such a devoted couple as you and
your husband. Keep the faith. So many people
have you and your family in their prayers. We all
pray for the day that the three of you will be
united at home, and that God will keep you in his
loving care. Have a GREAT day. Love ya. Brenda

MessageDear Mary Beth and Russell,
I just would like for you to know that I continue to pray for Emma. The other day I called my cousin whose dad is a minister. I asked her to ask him to pray for Emma. He is probably about 87 years old. A couple of years ago I had seen him in Walmart at the prescription counter. I told him about one of Jennifer's friednds who had had a baby that was sent home from the hospital not realizing there was a heart problem. When I asked him to pray for that baby, he prayed right there at the counter while the clerk and I stood there and cried. The surgery on that child went well, and she is fine now.
I couldn't figure out what was different on Emma's medicine cart.
Love you all,
Jane

MessageThe first thing I do every morning is read your blog. I get excited when there is good news and I cry with you when there is bad news. Emma is so beautiful and I know that all of you can hardly wait until you can take her home. Please know that all of you are in our prayers every day and we hope that it will not be much longer until you can take your beautiful baby home.

MessageRussell and MaryBeth,
I just wanted to let you guys know that I am reading the blog daily and praying for Emma each night. Nate also includes Emma in his nightly prayers. We are praying fo healing for every issue Emma is dealing with right now, a shunt surgery that goes well, and that your sweet baby gets to come home soon. We can not wait for her to get home. I just know you all will feel so much better when that day comes. Thanks for sharing all of this information with us.
Love,
Lesli

PS-Nate had horrilbe gas when he was tiny and Mylicon worked wonders. I just gave it to him after every bottle and didn't wait on the fussiness to begin.

MessageMary Beth and Russell,
I have been reading your blog daily. You and Baby Emma are in my thoughts and prayers daily. I can't wait until we get to see her. I have her baby gift ( nothing like being late) and of course it has to do with The Tigers. You know she is the newest and cutest little Tiger baby around! I pray that she heals soon and can have her shunt put in and then be able to GO HOME so you guys can take care of her. Hope to see you soon
Love you all!

Jane

MessageI had three days to catch up and these have been
eventful. I know you are both exhausted and totally drained from the up and downs. Healing the incision takes tiem. I know it is painful for you to see and most of all to hear her cry. i pray the reason will be found and corrected. Yesterday I went to Special Olympics and thought about the times you went with my class and what a great time we had. I am leaving for GA tomorrow and be home Tues. I hope and pray that those days will bring much comfort and healing. You are getting a medical degree by on job training.
Emma is beautiful and I love those eyes.
