MessageYesterday no matter what I was doing my thoughts kept going to Emma. This big milestone has been passed and she is looking around and enjoying her world. Her care will get easier each time you do do a dressing or diaper change. I love seeing the pictures and seeing how alert and inquisitive her mind must be. She is going to be fine!!!
As always my thoughts, heart and prayers are with all of you.

MessageRussell and Mary Beth,
I know tomorrow will be a hard day for everyone. We will be praying for you!!! We serve an awesome God! There is a song "That's What Faith Can Do", it talks about moving mountains and silent prayers being answered. God has and will hear our silent and vocal prayers!!!
Love,

gene and sue

MessagePraise God for all good things! I'm so glad y'all had a night off! I've been praying, as have many others I'm sure, for a miraculously speedy healing now and after the shunt surgery. We just can't wait to meet sweet baby Emma and for y'all to be out of the hospital.

MessageRussell and Mary Beth:
Sylvia and I have Emma's picture on our dresser as a visual reminder to pray for her every day and to pray for both of you. We are so thankful the wound is healing. Emma is so blessed to have such devoted, faithful parents. We hope to see you sometime this weekend. Call us if there is anything we can do for you or bring to you.

Stephen

MessageMy babies, especially Megan, had the wide awakes like this at this age. Like you said, just be thankful that Emma sleeps at night. I really think Megan cried 24 hours a day for the first 3 months, and then learned to suck her thumb and turned into a delightful baby--my mother will verify that. I am thrilled to hear that a date has been set for the shunt surgery! I wish that I could come and be with you in the hospital. I remember from when James was in the PICU for 9 days that it is exhausting to be there alone. "Hear my cry, O God; attend my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I." Psalm 61:1-2

MessageRussell & Mary Beth,
I am keeping up with sweet little Emma each day on your blog. Thank you for writing about her for all of us to read. It helps us to know how to pray for her and for the two of you as well and for her doctors and nurses.
I love all three of you and each time I think of you I ask God to give all three of you the very best. Looking forward to a happy homecoming day!

MessageI appreciate the updates and pics of Emma so much. I think about you all often. I was really excited to see that Emma is going to have a flower in her honor at the Garden of Hope at our Greenville March For Babies. Rachel, the Nicu Family support specialist said Emma is beautiful and that she's been able to talk to your (MB) mom the most! She loves your family! I love hearing from her. Just wanted to stop by and say hey! Love you all!
