| Message | My Dear, Sweet Mary Beth, Being old enough to be your grandmother, I must tell you that I have never, never understood why allows bad things to happen to good people. And there are many other questions along this line. If that question is still important to us in heaven, I know He will have a ready answer for all of us. In the meantime, I do believe God answers prayers. Sometimes the answer is a resounding "No!" which is difficult to understand and accept. But the older I have grown and the more of life's most difficult situations I have witnessed, I am absolutely positive that "No" in certain situations is the best answer, though difficult to accept. And, it is the most difficult to understand, as you stated, why a loving God allows certain things to happen to such wonderful loving and trusting people. Really, it is IMPOSSIBLE for us to understand. But, the other thing I am ABSOLUTELY, WITHOUT A DOUBT, certain about is that God loves all of us and only wants what He only can determine is best. We just can't see it. And the other thing I am ABSOLUTELY, WITHOUT A DOUBT, certain about is that He is always present to ultimately comfort us --- no matter the situation. His comfort comes from His presence, the friends and family He brings to help us and so many other ways. He does not stop the storm on the sea or in life, but He CAN still the storm in your heart. Love you, Admire you, Pray for you and sweet baby Emma, Joanne Cothran |
