MessageI missed out on an amazing trip! My loss. Now that I have read your account I realise that I should have followed my heart and gone - if only I could rid myself of the shuckles of business commitment guilt. Glad you took the Swazi drive but regret your bad experience with the Maputo taxi - mine (for 2 as my luggage took a seat) was really only R2 all the way from Costa into the CBD and another R2 from there to the airport. Stop 4 another beer when you pass here again - it was really great meeting up with the other LLC and his fellow gentlemen riders.

MessageWow - you guys look like the Ewan Magregor team (software wouldn't let me put the link in). It certainly smacks of wild west adventure. I did Canada coast to coast on a Suzuki GS750 (bad choice of bike for such a distance) and I currently have a GS1100G (US spec) waiting for a restoration project.

Great photos and a super slick website. Nothing like the blog I made of our round the world trip with the kids (see: londonboards.blogspot.com) and check out Cape Town photos and May 2005 in the archives).

One day, when the kids are old enough, I will tour again with the boys. Perhaps a little like I used to do with my dad on his Triumph 650.

Don't let them get you down - keep riding.
