| Message | Bryce, As I've said all along, I just wanted to know that you knew about us out here supporting you as you. We had no idea if you even knew about us. Now we know that you at least know something is going on out here, though we still do not know exactly how much you know. I continue to support you, gay or straight, no matter what. I am still very concerned with the situation you are in though. I stand by what I said before that you should be the one to figure out who you are without being coerced by anyone, and if it takes isolation and shaming techniques to bring you to your self-realization, that is not the correct course no matter what the result. If you are straight, be straight. If you are gay, be gay. But, if you are gay, don't be straight just to please your family and church leaders. Fortunately for me, I don't know what it's like to be completely rejected by my family. Although they didn't like the idea at first, they have gotten used to it, and they never even considered doing or threatening the things I've heard you were threatened with. We are not suggesting you cut off your family, but it is up to you to decide whether what you are doing is worth it to keep them, or if there is a third way out where you can be you and reconcile with your family later. In any event, the ball is in your court now. You have to take the responsibility for your own destiny. I've put in my two cents, as have a lot of people from around the world. We love you no matter what! |

| Message | Hi, I got an answer to my message about Bryce in another forum. I place it down. without name of the reader (privacy) I myself have always been conflicted on this issue.I am Catholic&we all know what the bible says. However, yrs ago @work I met 2 men..seemed very "normal" never would have thought they had been together for 5 yrs! I felt such love between them. So the topic being (choice or born) I really thought who would decide one day to suddenly want the same sex? and go thru all the hell that comes with it..being beat up..picked on. judged ..losing family even being killed! No one would choose that. To better understand I suggest watching a great documentary on HBO called" Be Like Others" it gives a whole new outlook on the subject of choosing to be gay. All I know is that love is love..if we love eachother..all genders, races ,religion..etc..how can that be bad?? |
