| Message | Bryce,
I know it's been a trying time for you in the ex-gay facility that you are in, but I know you will come out of there in at most seven months a much stronger person and you will be able to stand up to people who do not have your best interests at heart but think they do. Hang in there! Your personal he(double hockey sticks) is now half over and you will soon be OUT of the tunnel and be with Travis!
Since today is Dr Martin Luther King Jr's birthday, and due to your own parents judging you by your sexual orientation, allow me to paraphrase the great civil rights leader:
"I have a dream that non-straight people everywhere will not be judged by the orientation of their sexuality but by the content of their character.
"This is our hope, and this is the faith that I go back to the Christian Church with. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountains of shame, guilt and despair, stones of hope. With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood.
"And when this happens, and when we allow freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet; from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's Children, black and white, Jewish and Gentile, male and female, non-straight and straight alike, will be able to join hands and sing the old spiritual, "Free at last, free at last. Thank God Almighty, we are free at last." |
