Message The flood was not at the Midwest Central Railroad it was at another railroad. We can always use volunteers.

Message Visited your website today, very impressive! My wife and I were heavily involved in MCRR from 1966-1970 and the pics brought back many memories. I deeply regret not staying involved with MCRR(I live only 25 miles away)but life can sometimes blind us to what is truly important. Hope we can make it back up this spring on a regular basis. Till then. J.P.

Message It is good to see some more restoration activity in steam locomotives. I have been going to visit and work on Milwaukee Road # 261 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and the 630 in Chatanooga, Tennessee. I'm going to try to plan a visit to Midwest Central Railway. It's a lot shorter distance. I'm in St.Joseph, Missouri. Best wishes. Billy

Message According to my Great-Great Grandmother's obit, my great-grandfather worked for the MCRR at the time of her death, April 4 1918. Does anyone know how I can confirm? I come from a long line of railroad workers.

For those interested in the above question...

The present day MCRR started in the late 1950's as a project of the Midwest Old Threshers group. This "MCRR" is an extremely short-line railroad, often referred to as a tourist railroad or museum railroad.

I suspect the "MCRR" which your great-grandfather worked for was the "Michigan Central Railroad." That "MCRR" was incorporated in 1846 and later became part of the Penn Central Railroad.

Details of the Michigan Central can be found at

Message It was great to be back at Mt. Pleasant and Old Threshers, the #6 looked wonderful and was a real joy to see it in action once again, as well as the #9 and #16 Henschel. Everyone who puts this all together every year does a fantastic job and I applaud all of your hard work. Thank you all for another great year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Message theory is similar to the network. Without site visitors your enterprise does no longer really fail. Test and create articles, buying groceries links, ezine advertising, joint ventures, press releases and native communities to find the go with the flow of site visitors on your web website online to get started.
