| Message | This is getting tedious but here goes. The CB ran the Reserve CHAMPIONSHIP early this year. McFlynn played on the winning Loup reserve team and THEN went on to play senior championship football. The reverse is not permitted and is why last year the CB ran the Reserve Trophy. If they had run a championship every team would have run out of players. As I said already enjoy the Trophy but it was not a championship. The Strollers for the league??...Too many Watty's for my liking, look where they are !! |

| Message | Oh dear Watcher, I think you are confusing Fact with Urban Legend. The boys won a Reserve Trophy medal which as the name suggests was not a championship. Now this is a fact, so pay attention, any player can only play in one championship in one year. The Derry board invented the Trophy last year because the senior championship format meant most teams ran out of players. I know this may be hard to take but it simply was not a championship and no matter what way it's dressed up it never will be.It most certainly was not a SENIOR championship, if you are still in any doubt what a senior championship medal looks like, ask Shane and Dermott to show you one |
