How long have you been a fan?Seems like forever
Have you ever seen Sky perform live? and Where? No
MessageSky was an innovator. If immitation is the best form of flattery, his style and technique was duplicated countless times. Loud and gritty, sky's music was pure energy, but in my opinion, probably the worst lip-sync performer ever.

MessageFound out about Sky because of favourite artists like Iggy Pop and The Ramones mentioning him and discovered the music that way. Also became interested in the spiritual side of Sky's influence. Just a unique inspiration on many many levels.

Have you ever seen Sky perform live? and Where?Unfortunately, no.
MessageHi Sabrina,

Good luck on the tribute CD. I see that it will be released this June/can't wait. I viewed the update and it appears that my cover of "Six Dreams" did not make the cut. Thanks to you and Karl for considering the track.

Send me an email with an address where I can forward a donation by mail (not a fan of credit cards on line).

See you on Facebook. Always great to ctach up with you there.

Cheers!

Tim

How long have you been a fan?Fourty some years
Have you ever seen Sky perform live? and Where?Las Vegas Nevada 1969
MessageI was a seeds fan from the first time I heard of skys voice. The raw sound was something that rock and roll was founded on. I have seen and heard many sounds come and go but his sound remained imbedded in my soul as a sound I could always refer to as home grown music of my generation. Sky will always be referred to as the king of home grown rock and roll to me. I feel his song presence as I write and feel the presence of a soul that we all need more of.

Have you ever seen Sky perform live? and Where?Thessaloniki, Greece
MessageI was 'introduced' to the Seeds when I was experimenting with Surf music in the '90s..
The Seeds, along with the Standels and a few other legends of their era, got me hooked in garage psych rock. Saxon's iconic figure had a profound influence in my musical education.
My favorite song of the band is 'wind blows your hair'; the intro. of that song is electrifying in a frightening, yet magical way.
I was glad to see the 'new' band live (ca. in 2006); yet, Sky's performance was less than perfect. Better to remember him from his recordings and appearances on vintage videos on youtube!

R.I.P, dear friend, up in the SKY, where you belong!

How long have you been a fan?forever....
Have you ever seen Sky perform live? and Where?yes, 3rd Eye in Redondo Beach and Hollywood??
MessageI believe it was the summer '66 after graduation and the next summer '67. As an ol' hippie/beach bum our tribe would rock with all the LA bands, the Turtles, the Doors, Buffalo Springfield, Strawberry alarm clock and yes the Seeds. The album cover and name told it all about our tribe and who we were in the 60's. I believe we would all LOVE just one more day/night/weekend/summer to enjoy that feeling we got in our youth listening and party'n to LA's garage bands. Sky and his band the Seeds was played from the heart to our hearts with true LOVE, Love of everything good about our tribes youth! The 60's was and will Forever be part of who America was and The Seeds played a BIG part in my tribe's history. We played and partied hard (Pushing to Hard) and as we moved on and things changed in our lives one thing always stayed the same, our music, and even today when we hear that first lick....We're there all over again.........FOREVER YOUNG! party on, LOVE Johnnie
