| Message | Was nice to see some new faces, but what can you say about the night! The first set of Orange Couty, thoroughly enjoyed. The second & third set when down hill when Malcolm took the stage to help the lads out after losing there backing tracks. I'd like to say thank you to Tony (Orange Couty)for trying to sort a full night of entertainment for us (as he had lost his backing tracks, so only had enough material for 1 set). Don't be put off, come and see us again! ![]() |

| Message | What a night, not a great advert for country music, lets hope it was just a ''BLIP'' for our club and for Orande County unless they do better in the future I can't see them climbing the ladder.Enjoyed the venue and Sophies 14th birthday celebrations, things can only get better. Keep up the good work, roll on October, Photos to follow |

| Message | Thank you all for supporting the club at The Glenside last night. Having not seen Orange County but had favourable feedback I was looking forward to a good evening of country music.Unfortunately Tony informed us their backing tracks were missing and couldn't perform 3 sets.Frantically they phoned around for tracks & assistance came in the shape of Malcolm. Orange County performed a great first set, which confirmed the talent they possess.Malcolm then took over and regrettable what followed was not an advert for country music, as was made apparent by the majority of the audience vacating their seats before the end. Not something which the club has experienced and hopefully will not again. Please do not let the evenings entertainment put you off. We look forward to seeing you all again on 3 October 2009 for Paul Taylor. An artist which has not performed in the North East before, but should keep listeners and dancers happy with the content of his material and which will restore the good sound of country music |

| Message | Local band Revlover played 3 great sets of Country music. Kept the listeners and dancers happy with a varied choice of songs. Thanks for your support Comments were aired last night that our pricing policy was to change. Let me make it clear. Single artists/duos £3.50 on the door. For exceptional duos from the south eg Spurs we may charge £4.00 (you pay for quality) Trios/Bands £4.00. Should we be fortunate to book Brian Hughes or Gary Perkins the door pricing would be reviewed. Some folk think the artists should be paid nominal expenses to entertain them. The artists are professionals who demand the going rate for their skills like everyone else. For some it is not a hobby but their day job. The North East is fortunate to see artists relatively cheaply. Some venues there is no cover charge the Clubs pay the artists. This does not help the independant clubs like Rattlesnake or Geordie Outlaws which are funded by the orgainisers. Once the funding is gone the Club closes. Around the country. Cumbria minimum £5.00, Midlands £7.00/£10.00 South £10.00+. Where can you have an evening of entertainment for less than a tenner(excluding drinks)? Rattlesnake Creek management are trying to provide a variety of artists for your entertainment. We could just book the usual circuit artists but doubt whether the club would survive. Hope to see you for Orange County @ The Glenside Mickley 12 September 2009 |
