MessageI may not know who peanut is, but just by looking at the picture of the peanut i just fell in love. Peanut did not deserve to be killed,Peanut had lifetime to enjoy his life but 2 cowards took his lil life away. These 2 cowards trying to use mental illness, very poor excuse.I Hope these losers get maximum penalty.I hope 1 day somebig mean looking dog comes along and bites those cowards right in the balls and rips the off.I dont understand how some person or human can do that to a innocent lil pup, mentaly ill or not they deserve maximum penalty or least charge them fools $75,000 each. Better to have them pay a fine then have the taxpayers money spent on them 2 losers spending time in jail

MessagePeanut, you poor little bugger. I`m so sorry for the Nielson family. How could these cowards do such a thing. It makes me sick to think of it. If one dog did this to another dog, it would be put down with no questions asked. Why are we as humans above this. I`m so tired of hearing "it`s just an animal" and seeing the courts show no regard or respect to these precious lives. My Piper is not "just a dog". She is our family.
I truly hope the courts finally get the right decision THIS time. Otherwise kharma awaits the two gutless parasites. smilie

MessagePeanut...what a precious little soul, I can't believe that any person could ever dream of hurting a puppy like they did. I hope that your law will help to save the lives of many other animals.

MessageI am so digusted by how little these men think about animals, as well as a lot of other people. Its also digusting how little they are punished if at all. 2 years is nothing and does $75,000 amount to a animal's life??? I don't think so. I have two dogs that I call my children and they mean the whole world to me, I was in tears when I was reading the article about what happened to Peanuts. And imagining my dogs in that horrible situation just made my tears brim over.

MessageAs an animal lover, and animals rights advocate...This is overwhelming...Peanut is such a cutie, and i am sure he had a wonderful life with your family. Though his death was premature and senseless, i am sure that he will not be forgotten and will not have died in vain. It is time for the judges to apply the laws, and strongly indicate, that these types of crimes, will no longer go unpunished. Animals are like family members...

Sending you serenity in these hard times...

Best wishes to your family

MessageI am so sorry for your unbareable loss and I wish there was something I could say to help....It is an absolutely unspeakable act by folks who should not even be classified as part of the human race.

I do the cruelty and neglect cases here for the SPCA of Southwest MI and I am continuously dissapointed by the lack of respect and blaten disregard that some people are capable of toward animals.

They need to be punished beyond the maximum sentence allowed and be viewed as an example of what someone will be faced with for committing such an offense. People look at the animal cruelty laws as near nonexistant. The sooner we start making it loud and clear that we are cracking down and handing out harsh punishements, the sooner this stuff will stop becoming someones idea of carefree entertainment.

With Sympathy,

Michelle

MessageI too want to keep up the pressure on the courts to find justice for the families of these animal victims of cruelty.
These scum are trying to delay the justice system hoping that outrage from the people who care might die down-IT WON"T!!
Keep up the good work in keeping us informed and the people who dole out the punishments to these bottom feeders had better start listening to those who pay their wages.
