MessageI am so saddened and sorry to hear this story. I don't know what is wrong with people, that is beyond belief. A similar story in Canada, in Didsbury, Alberta. Two youths torture a dog, and don't receive a harsh enough sentence. To do something of free will that is so cruel. Words cannot describe how sad it makes us animal lovers feel. I am so sorry for your loss and I hope that Peanut's story will help to change the laws of animal cruelty and make the penalties more severe. God bless and may you romp with Peanut again over the Rainbow Bridge.

MessageI do not understand the reasoning for this. I am so very sorry for your horrific loss. Animals give us so much and ask for so little. The men that did this must have been mentally unhinged. Just be glad that you gave this little dog the love and joy that you did. He will be with you always. I tried to sign the petition but couldn't...is there anything else I can do from country W.A? My thoughts and sympathy go to all of you.

MessageThis breaks my heart....People behave as bullies to small and helpless animals. I live as far as Macau SAR in SE Asia and even though this news upset me, just as the long list of stop animal abuse pleas I can find on facebook, because it means that more and more people are hurting or even killing animals...

I believe that the higher the penalty imposed on animal abusers, the higher the effect there will be on letting human beings aware that this is the time to improve ourselves, to expand our love instead of degrading our race by being bullies. There is never a reason to hurt or kill these animals, only excuses.

Let abusers learn their lesson well, and in turn this will warn any potential ones in the future.

MessageThis dreadful act of cruelty on such a beautiful dog has outraged many people from all around the world.
Such a senseless, heartless act should be punished and I hope that Peanuts family get the justice that is deserved.
May you run free forever now Peanut

Message"F*#D UP!!!" smilie No two words can better describe the actions committed by these two mongrels! It's sad to say that i come from Queensland and there are a lot of people who show little appreciation towards animals! Hopefully the maximum penalty is ten-fold due to the severity of this case. These idiots need to realise the consequences of such vile actions. At least 10 years imprisonment in my opinion... They'd learn the feeling of pain from the inmates throuhgout that length of time!

MessageWhat Jonathon Connor Blake and Trent William Cunniffe have done is so inconceivably wicked and shameful. It is a pity that the justice system can be manipulated so that sadistic men such as Blake and Cunniffe can hide behind insanity pleas. Undoubtedly, a crime so gruesome and horrific against a thinking and feeling being could not have been their first. I am sure that these men have committed countless acts of violence against other animals and will continue to do so unless they receive the most severe punishment under Australian law, which, considering the indescribable agony that was inflicted on Peanut, is not nearly harsh enough. Australia must do what is right. The eyes of the world are upon this nation. I hope that Peanut's court case will set in motion more stringent animal cruelty laws that will make such horrors a thing of the past. Please be vigilant and strong. Surely justice will prevail.
