| Message | Joined the Navy in Sept 79, Boot camp in Orlando, Fl. Went to RM School in San Diego and graduated in April 80. Served in Guam on aboard the USS Hunley AS-31 and brought her back to Charleston S.C. Went through a refit and then onto Holy Loch Scotland. Left the Navy in 83. Stayed in the reserves until 1989 and then went into the National Guard. Retired from Active Guard program in May 2011. |

| Message | A school San Diegho, first ship Steinaker DDR863, blockade, trans to USS Harry E Yarnell DLG17 Precom and then duty. Trans from there to RMB school Bainbridge, Md. Then to USS Donner LSD20 and then to shore duty at NCS Washdc, Baileys crossroads det. From there to NTC San Diego for TTY repair and on to NCS Adak Alaska. Left there for discharge in Seattle and back to Lancaster, Pa. for college. Joined Natl Guard unit 103rd Med Bn and served as First Sergeant until discharge and retired in 1960 when I turned 60. Would like to hear from other with whom I served. |
