MessageNice web site! My dad went to radio school at U. of Wisconsin at start of WWII. His name is Herman L. Duncan and he went by the nickname of Dunk. He then served a short while on the sub Razorback before going to the pacific and ending on Okinawa in an Acorn unit.

MessageJust found this site. Great stuff. RM2 at USNS Roosevelt Roads 1970 - 1974. One thing Google can't find is our old call sign: RULGSDM
Just found a couple of sites with Q and Z sigs. I found the need for ZBM2 many times in life. BYW they are still using the lighting bolts for the IT rate. At least we didn't lose that.
Also very kewl, Fed Law, as of Oct 08, lets all Veterans and Active that are NOT IN UNIFORM lets us present a hand salute whenever the national anthem is played. Now we'll see our brothers/sisters at ball games. Very Kewl!

MessageSurprised to see this site. Wondering how many of my fellow Radiomen are hams? My duty stations were Navcommsta Morocco 2 years, U.S.S Barney DDG-6 1971 to 1973. If you are a ham then try www.K4NAR.org for the Navy net on 7.245 everyday at 0700. Hope to see you there.
