Messageto the GEORGIAN NATION AND ITS PEOPLE; I AM SO ASHAMED THAT THE WORLD STOOD IDLY BY AND DID NOT HELP YOU. I AM DEEPLY SADDENED BY THIS BUT MOSTLY FOR THE LOSS OF YOUR INNOCENT LOVED ONES. MAY GOD BLESS YOUR NATION AND MAKE YOU STRONGER IN THE EYES OF THE WORLD ESPECIALLY IN THE KNOWLEDGE THAT YOUR PEOPLE AND YOUR SOLDIERS SHOWED GREAT COURAGE IN THE FACE OF AN OPPOSING SUPER POWER.

MessageWas it the finnish minister of defence who said some years ago: Our biggest dangers in future are Russia, Russia and Russia? I'm afraid he was right...

I did military service as usual here in Germany. Of course one thinks of the chance of a war: Z-E-R-O. How could anybody dare attacking a NATO-country.

Today I can only shake my head about all this. It's still very unlikely, but not impossible. Russia even attacks almost-NATO-members...
