MessageHello my name is Lisa and I have 5 furbabies. My oldest furbaby name is Shelby and he was diagonosed with Cancer on Monday 12/29/08. The only reason I was taking her to the vet was because of her labored breathing these last 2 weeks. Turns out she has cancer & it has spread all over her cavity except her heart. My heart is breaking and I am not sure how I will make it threw the rest of my life without her there. She is my best friend, my everything. She has showed me what unconditional love is, no matter what I did she never judged me....just loved me.
We started her on Predinose 25mg 2 times a day to help with various aliments (ACL repair, arthirtis, etc.)
Please pray for my Shelby. God love you all!
Lisa

We love him so much and are not ready to depart with him. We believe in the power of prayer and know that if we stand in agreement, the Lord will give us a miracle!

Type of CancerBrain
MessagePlease say a prayer for my boy Jack. He's almost 11 (Feb 1st). He was just diagnosed with a brain tumor a few weeks ago. He had a seizure at the vet's office when he was in for his rabies shot. I'm devastated. Since he's advanced in age, it wasn't recommended that we do the surgery, chemo, radiation. And we couldn't afford it even if it was recommended. So I'm going the alternative route and he's now on a raw organic food diet. I've been making his food for years now so it won't be such a drastic change. He's my best friend and I love him more than anything and hate the thought of something hurting him.

Type of Cancersuspected lymphoma
MessagePlease pray for my Tum Tum as we call him. He is a big lug of a boy. He thinks he is a lap dog at 86 lbs. but clearly he doesn't realize he so big! He has been treated for a lump in his neck for the past two months with an antibiotic and it has gone away both times, but as soon as the meds are stopped it returns. The vet said if it returned she suspected lymphoma because of his breed, age and the location of the lump. It doesn't seem to bother him but i can't seem to get the thought of losing the big guy out of my mind. He is a nudge, like a two yr. old child, but he is a soccer ball loving boy. He has to have his ball to go to the bathroom and run around. We call it his binky ball! He really is a big sweetie and the thought of him even having that disease breaks my heart. If this has happened to anyone else's lab. please send me a note via the website. Please hope for Tum Tum's health and recovery-we dread the call with the vet as we know what she will say about the next visit.

MessageStevie was diagnosed with canine cancer 12/20/08. He is a very good boy. We got him 8 years ago as a rescue. Prednisone has made the lumps smaller. It scares me that he may only live 75 - 90 days. Please pray for him. Kathy

Type of CancerNot Sure
MessageOur dog Sky has bee having some major health issues. He is over ten years old, and is our 100lb lap dog! He is the sweetest big lug we know! He began to be extremely lethargic about 6 weeks ago. We just moved to Lincoln, Ne and had to find a vet in a hurry. It appeared he was extremely anemic, yet his blood work wasn't too bad otherwise. Plus he had an infection.

The vet thought he might have suffered a mild heart attack or stroke. He also detected a heart murmur. He has been on prednisone and enalipril. He has also received shots of B12. Each time he perks up but now he seems to be "crashing" more often. His blood work has also taken a nose dive!

We believe he more than likely has a systemic issue, which obviously is cancer. We are opting not to do more testing because of his age. He is a big dog so we expected he might leave us earlier than our little poochies.

We keep upping his prednisone dose with each crash. He is now up to 50mg from 20mg. We shall see. However now he is experiencing all the lovely side effects. I think I will try some holistic measures as I found this website to be very helpful!

Please pray for our big boy that he can last a bit longer, while not suffering. This is so hard...we lost another Lab cross in 07 to cancer. It is inevitable that our pets will leave us one day, but it is still difficult when that time comes. Good luck to everyone else's little babies that are ill. Thank you...Lori
