| Message | Please pray for my sister's 15 year old black lab, Lucy. She had severe seizures yesterday afternoon (and foaming at the mouth), and was transported to the emergency vet clinic. Blood work was normal, kidneys are not 100%, a tumor was diagnosed close to her spleen. Her eyes react to voice and petting stimuli. It is unknown if this tumor is cancerous. the vet today informed us Lucy possibly has a brain tumor (a specialist needs to be called in) which may have caused the seizures. My sister has had Lucy since she was an eight week puppy, and Lucy has never been sick, or in an hospital. The vet said before the surgeon can operate for the (spleen) tumor, she needs to stabilize. He said she is not doing very well because she won't stand up and walk (hours after seizure?) -- Lucy is hooked up to IVs with pain meds, antibiotics, glucose, anti-seizure. The surgeon, who is the regular vet, will return in 3 days. God willing, he will be able to help Lucy. Lucy has always been a good dog, never any trouble, always faithful and loyal. God Bless You all. My heart and prayers are with you and your beloved pets. Thank you for your time, and thank you for your prayers. |
