MessagePlease pray for Aspen who just turned 11 years old on 12/16.
He has survived bloat (the vet also cut an artery so he needed a second surgery--blood and protein transfusions), heart issues, knee replacement, and arthritis in his knees. He is so smart and sweet. We love him so much and can't imagine him not in our life. Aspen was just diagnosed on 12/23. I have been blessing him with holy water and would be so grateful for your prayers.

God bless---Kari

Type of CancerHemangiosarcoma
MessageOur beloved JJ got acutely ill on Christmas eve. He was rushed to surgery and had an emergency splenectomy. The vet suspects hemangiosarcoma but we don't have a tissue diagnosis yet b/c of the holiday week-end. He is now awake but having difficulty standing and walking. We are fearful of metastases to the spine or brain. He is only 8 y/o and has always been so strong and stoic. We will most likely be letting him go over the rainbow bridge tomorrow. We love him so much.

MessageWe have had Gunner (boxer) since he was only 13 weeks old. My husband got him to keep our other dog company when we were both at work. Needless to say, the two pups and I were aways together given that my husband would go on deployments and I would stay by myself. These pups have become my life- we have added yet another pup, another boxer girl. The three amigos as we call them are always together and we are of course a unit- one cannot exist without the other. Around 12/10/10 we noticed that Gunner appeared lethargic and even stopped drinking water. We took him to the vet and the vet felt a mass on the left side of his abdomen. A stat ultrasound was ordered and they saw that he had a mass growing on his left kidney, the only option was surgery. Gunner had surgery 12/15/2010 and during surgery the surgeon called us and said that the tumor tissue was everywhere including around his abdominal aorta. The surgeon provided us the option of being aggressive and trying the dissect the tumor around the aorta, put risking losing Gunner on the spot if he nicked the vessel or just taking the tumor of the kidney and enjoying Gunner for the time that he had. We opted to stop there and remove the tumor from the kidney and enjoying Gunner for as long as we could. Gunner is recovering from his surgery and we are praying to have as much time with him as we can. Gunner is 8 and a half and I pray that we can enjoy him for a little while longer. Please pray for our "Gunner" boy.

Type of CancerLymphoma
MessageOur 11 year old bulldog was diagnosed with B cell lymphoma in August. He has been going through chemo without any side effects. However last month we noticed lumps on his skin and he was diagnosed with T cell lymphoma. The new chemo is very aggressive and he gets ill for a couple of days after. We notice that the lumps are returning 3 weeks after his chemo and now have to take a decision how to proceed. He has been like a child since we got him and I can't imagine life without him. Please pray for him and give me strength to let him go when he the time comes.

MessagePenny was diagnosed last Tuesday with carcinoma vs lymphona of her lungs. We were given a poor prognosis of her making it through this weekend. She is on prednisone, and seems to stable. She is eating what I make for her which consists of hamburger, chicken, pork, and rice. She is not eating her food. She is wagging her tail, barking at the mailman as she always does, and wants to be with people. Please add Penny to your prayer list. She is such a sweet girl, and I am devastated that she has to go through this.
Thank you, Carole

MessageMy sweet dog MIlla was diagnosed with Lymphoma 4 weeks ago. She is about 8 years old. Not sure about her age because she is a rescued dog that suffered so much the first years of her life. I've had her for 3 years and she is so adored that I wanted her to be around for much longer. I just hope that she does not suffer too much when she passes away. I hope we are all strong to deal with our losses and very thankful for the recoveries that may happen. God Bless our dogs.
