Type of CancerUreteral (TCC)
MessageWe noticed that our Ruby (12.5 yrs) was straining to urinate.Took Ruby to Michigan State university college of veterinary medicine 6/2/11. After being catheterized and numerous tests appears as if there is thickening and obstruction in the urethra not bladder according to ultra sound (TCC) transitional cell carcinoma. opted not to do scope for biopsy as survival rate even with stent placement is 3-8 months.
Having prayed all day prior to picking up Ruby from MSU. A glimmer of hope... Vet informed us Ruby was put on 5mg proxicam (anti inflammatory)if it worked she would respond that evening ans increase urination volume. It this inf=d of obstruction responds well radiation with a better prognosis the just stents or proxicam alone. day 2 on medication collected almost a cup of urine today. Please pray for a good out come and a long term good prognosis.

MessageRest in peace Mako! I love you so much my sweet sweet big baby boy!! He was diagnosed with lymphoma a week ago, of course it was the aggressive type. He has been on medication, looking a little better at least eating, but today we had to put him down. It just broke my heart and still is. This was so very hard for me and I can not stop crying. He was only 6 years 8 months. Taken from me way too soon. He has a brother the same age, now he is alone. :(
God bless everyone who is going through these illnesses with their beloved pets. I will pray for all of them. Please look up and blow my baby a big kiss. I love you Mako!!

MessageRest in peace my sweet baby Dodger.
We lost our precious Dodger to lymphoma on May 23, 2011. The hardest day of my life. I miss him so much, Dodger was an amazing dog, our family is lonely there is a big void in our life. My baby was only 7 years 5 months, his life was cut way too short. He was full of life up until May 21st, still loved to go on walks.
He looked at me with his beautiful brown eyes that said "mommy help me" I felt so helpless because I couldn't help...painful, very painful.
Best to all suffering dogs.
