Type of CancerHistiocytic sarcoma
MessageNautica is my first puppy ever. She is 12 years old. She has such a loving and kind soul. We always said she would be the best mommy. She has helped us raise two more labs. She watches over them and lets us know if there is something wrong. She has such a unique personality...we call her "Nutsie", "Boo Dog", and "Pumpkin Pie". When we drive her in the car...we call it "Driving Miss Crazy".

She has taught me the true love of a pet and has given us countless hours of unconditional love, affection and inspiration. She has a wonderful life, we always say when we pass away we want to come back as Nautica!

Today we will swim...and continue to swim, especially with her daddy which she loves to do the most! I have never seen such excitement in her as I do when she is swimming with him!

Please say prayers for my precious girl! I know she is 12 and someday I will be without her...but I'm not ready yet. We are treating her for her cancer and hopefully it will keep her with us for a while longer. We will do our best to make the rest of her life all that it can be!

God bless all the puppies and families who take care of them in these difficult times! Keep the faith, miracles can happen!

We love you "Boo Dog"!

Type of Cancer?exploratory being done today, 7/15/11
MessageOur Cavalier is undergoing an exploratory surgery, to determine what type of cancer we are dealing with. Should they open him up, and see that the tumor is metastic, then the surgeon will just close him up. I need prayers, for everyone for them not to find out that Koa will be ok.
I am a christian myself, and know only god and prayers will help hime through this horrific time. I just lost my mother 2/17/11, and if I lose Koa, I know, the lord does not give us more than we can handle. Losing Koa, who has been my companion for over 8 years, has help me through my mouring of my mother's death. The lord also said, Honor thy Father and Mother, which I did. I took care of my mother, until she took her last breath. She had not wanted to be in a care home, which I wouldn't have put her in anyway. Being on disability myself, I cared for mom, and full filled her wishes. So I just ask for the Lord to allow Koa, to remain my companion, which he has made my loss a little easier. God Bless All!

MessageI was told the horrible news on 5/15/11 that Hercules had cancer. My life has not been the same since. He is only 4yrs old, although for bulldogs it's middle age. I went ahead and took him to the oncologist who said the cancer had not yet gotten into his organs and lungs. We went ahead and took him to his vet, who is working hand in hand with the oncologist to administer chemo. We just finished the 4th round yesterday. Is it working........ Idk. I know that I am doing everything possible in my abilities to help him..... But I also know the lord has other plans at time. I kiss and hug him all day....tell him how much I love him and miss his funny ways. Please pray for my baby as I will pray for urs as well. Ps.... His brother boomer( Chinese sharpie)misses his brother very much!!!!!

Type of CancerHemangio sarcoma
MessageOur little one has taken the 3rd of 9 Chemo treatments and is doing well with them. Today we received the blood test that is needed to evaluate the continued treatments. the results seemed decent, but she remains anemic which is a sign that the condition persists. I would request that anyone who would like to pray, please pray for healing, comfort, peace and Gods will for her remaining life and that we, her caregivers receive the same comfort. As anyone knows, this is a painful situation for all of us.Thank you!

BreedPolish Lowland Sheepdog

Type of CancerAdenocarcinoma of the lung
MessageIt's been 5 weeks since our beloved Lacey was diagnosed with a primary tumor in one of her lung lobes. The tumor is almost as large as the lobe itself. She also has pleural effusion and had her 5th draw of fluid from the lung space today. She is 9 yo and just can't understand why her ball can't be thrown very far, or why doing the things she loves most make it hard for her to breathe. Still, she has a sparkle in her eyes and a smile on her face. We opted not to do surgery because of the size of the tumor, her age, and knowing the healing from the surgery, followed by chemo would just be too hard for her. So, we are doing hospice care and grateful for every day she's with us. We definitely believe in the power of prayer and positive thinking. If you have a moment to think of her or say a little prayer, it will be thankfully received. And I will keep those you hold near and dear in my thoughts and prayers, as well.

MessageBear had a rocky start to life. We adopted him after he had been at a no-kill shelter for two years. Our vet told Bear he got a "get of jail" card. Bear responded well to having a loving home. He was housebroken in a week - pretty amazing for a 6-yr-old dog!
Bear is well-loved by the staff at our vet's office. He has the cutest, cuddly face and he loves people. He has had a lot health problems such as hypothroidism and autoimmune issues. Now he has had to endure seizures and other symptoms. Due to Bear being almost 12 years old, we have opted for pallitative care of phenobarbital and steroids.
Please pray that Bear is comfortable and able to enjoy life for as long as he can. And pray for us, his family, that we be able to enjoy his last months and not focus on his dying.
